The UK-based, period wind ensemble Boxwood & bass make their debut on this new release from Resonous Classics. The ensembles first recording is based around German composer and clarinettist Franz Tausch and the two suites of his Op. 22 XIII Pieces en Quatuor, Op. 22 for two clarinets, horn and bassoon. This album also includes repertoire from Tauschs pupils Heinrich Baermann and Bernhard Henrik Crussel as well as a very influential composer on Tauschs career, Johann Stamitz.Additional Info: Personnel: Chris Farlowe (vocals); Steve Bolton (guitar); Vincent Crane (keyboards); Rick Parnell (drums).
