Berlin.Twelve years after the fall of The Wall, Erich Brandt is still living in the past.The city he loves, the city at the political and cultural centre of the twentieth century, the city of Marlene Dietrich and the Cold War has changed.For over forty years, Erich has by turn idolized and resented his younger brother Max, a London photographer who has more money, more talent and is far more attractive to women. Erich has always believed of his brother as he believes of Berlin- that both are bigger, more important than he is.So it is all the more shocking that killing himself is the first thing Max ever fails to do.
