K.M. Harris: Woman. Maori. Writer - three simple words. In New Zealand, the Maori people have a saying; 'iti te kupu, nui te koorero, ' which in English, loosely means 'a few words can provide a greater explanation, ' and aspiring Maori Writer K.M Harris exudes the meaning of each of these words in her own unique way. Also representing New Zealand Maori in Off The Path Vol. 2, An Anthology of 21st Century American Indian and Indigenous Writers K.M Harris hails from the northern New Zealand tribe of Ngapuhi with connections to tribes in the Bay of Plenty and East Coast regions.
