She has worked in foster care and adoption and has spent more than twenty years as a medical social worker, primarily in cancer care. She has worked with patients and families through very difficult situations. She is the founder and director of The Blessing Box, Inc, a licensed nonprofit whose mission is to inspire, nurture, and empower the human spirit through compassion in action.
